How TextPower Works

TextPower makes communication with your electric cooperative simple through easy two-way messaging.

Report an Outage

To report a power outage, text:

Send your message to: 254-527-3551

Check Outage Status

To receive updates on your outage, text:

STATUS

You will receive available information, including estimated restoration times.

Automatic Notifications

  • Alerts when outages are detected in your area
  • Updates as crews work to restore power
  • Notification once your power has been restored

Didn’t Receive an Alert?

If you experience an outage but did not receive a notification, your cooperative may not yet be aware of the issue.

Simply text OUT to report it. You will receive a confirmation message shortly after submission.

Please note that restoration updates may take time while crews travel to the location and assess the situation.

How to Sign Up

To use TextPower, your account must have at least one valid mobile phone number on file.

  • If your number is already on your account, you are likely enrolled
  • You can add up to three mobile numbers per account

Important

If your number is not on file and you try to use TextPower, you will receive an error message. You must update your account before using the service.

Log in to the SmartHub® customer portal to add or update your phone numbers.
