Bartlett Electric Cooperative is proud to support the education and future of students from member households through the Lawrence Karl Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Each year, scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors whose families are members of the cooperative, helping invest in the next generation of our local communities.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a graduating high school senior.
  • Must have a parent or guardian who is a member of Bartlett Electric Cooperative.
  • Must reside full-time in a home served by Bartlett Electric Cooperative with an active account.
  • Must attend a high school within the BEC service area or a neighboring school district.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 90 (on a 100-point scale).
  • Must have applied for admission as a full-time student at a university, junior college, or technical school.
How the Scholarship Fund Is Supported

Texas law allows nonprofit electric cooperatives to use eligible unclaimed capital credits to support scholarship programs in rural communities. Bartlett Electric Cooperative is proud to invest those funds back into local students and help support their continued education.
